EIB READY TO FINANCE PROJECTS IN SERBIA’S NEW INVESTMENT CYCLE

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is ready to support and fund projects within Serbia’s new investment cycle, which is estimated to be worth about EUR 12 bn.

The EIB is not afraid of large numbers, EIB Regional Office for the Western Balkans Head Dubravka Negre told Tanjug yester-day. As she explained, the bank is ready to hear out the Serbian government with respect to all projects and especially to speak with authorities about funding the development of the railway in-frastructure, national and local roads, and digitalization in education. “We have signed agreements worth over EUR 50 mn in 2019 so far in terms of grants, for the purpose of investments and sup-porting the preparation of projects to enable their realization on good foundations,” Negre added.]
